What is the Center for Barth Studies?

The Center for Barth Studies (CBS) is a research center at Princeton Theological Seminary. Founded in 1997, CBS exists to provide leading resources on the theology and legacy of Swiss Reformed theologian Karl Barth (1886–1968). The center hosts programs and events, provides research resources and tools, and facilitates constructive theological conversation in order to educate, equip, and empower scholars, students, pastors, and citizens worldwide for engagement with the Christian theological tradition and its public significance today.

What is God Here & Now?

God Here & Now is the official newsletter and editorial blog of the Center for Barth Studies at Princeton Theological Seminary. This newsletter is a public scholarship platform that will:

  1. Keep you updated on the news, resources, events, and programs at the Barth Center.

  2. Develop a public platform where different forms of digital media (articles, podcasts, videos) will be produced and distributed to create a new theological conversation.
